Information: Silk Scarves

The majority of my individually hand painted silk scarves are made with luxurious 19mm silk charmeuse. This is a tightly woven, heavy weight silk that drapes beautifully and shines with a deep luster.

Silk 12mm chiffon, or 16 mm crepe de chine scarves are also available by request.

-Crepe de Chine is a semi-sheer, lighter weight silk with a dull shine and a pebbled crepe texture. It is well suited for hotter climates.
-Chiffon is very light, sheer silk with a pebbled texture that floats on the breeze.

About mm (weight of weave):
The average momme weight for silk ranges from 12 momme - 22 momme. The higher the momme weight, the denser and more durable the weave.

Each one is unique and signed by the artist.
Hand wash and iron while damp.
