Sea Shell Silk - 2 yards

This is my attempt to capture the pearlescent magic of the interior of a mussel or oyster shell. Once the silvery grey/blue ground color is applied, I add drops of water and dye along with flowing strands of color and black sea pod accents.

*The scarves shown here, are cut on the bias, which creates a ruffled edge reminiscent of of an ocean animal fluttering through liquid.
